Over the years Qatar has developed into a source of first-class Straight Egyptian Arabian Horses. Surrounded by the incomparable setting of the white desert sands, Al Naif Stud was established in 1996 by Sheik Abdulla Bin Nasir Al Ahmed Al Thani. The farm, situated not far from Qatar's capital Doha, is accommodated by a racetrack, an indoor swimming pool, a horse clinic as well as other modern equipment.

Today, Al Naif Stud comprises about 160 Arabian horses. Besides of a collection of highly successful Arabian race-horses, the farm has a very aspiring breeding program of show bloodlines. Here the focus is set on Straight Egyptians and we can find a strong basis of top-quality individuals. From the beginning, aims were set high with the foundation horses being carefully selected.

Al Naif's senior stallions Ansata Shalim and Ansata Nile Echo were both bred at Ansata, USA. Nile Echo is widely known as "The King of Trot". He distinguishes himself by his powerful and fluid movement, which he passes on to his offspring. This charismatic stallion descends from the prestigious "Nile"-family going back to Falima. He is a perfect representative of his ancestry, combining beauty and balance with athleticism and powerful trot. His daughter Mona Al Naif (x Ansata Mouna by Farres) is his first offspring shown in Europe. She trotted away with the title of unanimous champion filly at the European Egyptian Event. She will be shown throughout Europe in junior competition.

The snow-white Ansata Shalim offers an extraordinary pedigree, blending some of the finest of Egyptian Arabian horse breeding. He is sired by the immortal Ansata Halim Shah and he is out of Ansata Nefertari. Shalim is closely related to internationally acclaimed horses such as Ansata Sinan and Ansata Hejazi. Both his sire and dam line go back to Ansata Bint Bukra who founded a dynasty of her own and is the ideal for so many breeders.
Shalim's offspring clearly reflects the genetic pre-potency of his descendants, outproducing himself and the mare he is bred to. This stallion is unbeaten in Get of Sire classes on an international level.
Shalim is also the sire of multi international champion Jandeh Al Naif and world champion Johara Al Naif.

The broodmare band of Al Naif is a collection of exquisite horses, including daughters of such sought-after stallions like Ansata Halim Shah, Ansata Hejazi, Ashhal Al Rayyan, Al Adeed Al Shaqab, Ansata Sinan, Salaa El Dine, Anaza Bay Shahh and Jamill. Walking through the mare barn means to encounter many silver beauties curiously watching the visitor.
Some of the most impressive ladies are Johara Al Naif, World Champion filly and multi international champion; Qatar national champion RN Mezna; International winner SES Nafila; Uruguay champion Ansata Aya Nadira, Egyptian Event winner Ansata Marjaneh; Qatar national champion Ansata Mouna; as well as Ansata Bint Sinan, Hejazia Al Naif and Qatar res. National champion Simeon Se'Ate.
